We have a block of rooms booked at the Banff Centre (the location of I2T2). Due to alimited number of rooms at the Banff Centre Hotel, we have arranged for rooms through the Banff Lodging Company as well. However, for best availability and in order to save 10% on these rooms you will need to book your room by April 13. After April 13, the regular rates apply. Pre-Order Discovery Park Pass

2017 is Canada's 150 birthday. This means that access to all of Canada's National Parks is free of charge this year only. However, it is recommended that you pre-order a pass to avoid long lines at the gates to Banff National Park.

Please submit the presenting author biography by May 10, 2017 in order that they may be published along with the submitted abstract in the Symposium Program.

Kindly submit your final presentation and a brief presenter biography, for introductory purposes, by May 22, 2017.

To ensure the upload process is successful, we request that each presentation be uploaded prior to the event. As well, your brief biography will be forwarded to the session chairs for introductory purposes. These two items will ensure a smooth transition between speakers and presentations.

The panel discussion will include the following 6 invited guests speaking to discuss 'Opportunities for Technology Transfer in In-Situ Thermal'. The invited panel speaker's are: Dr. Rick Chalaturnyk, Foundation CMG Chair in Reservoir Geomechanics, University of Alberta; Dr. Jason Cole, Principal Technologist, CH2M Hill; Dr. Ian Gates, Professor and Transition Leader, University of Alberta; Dr. Jason Gerhard, Canada Research Chair in Geoenvironmental Restoration Engineering, University of Western Ontario; Mr. John LaChance, President, Mc2 USA; and Dr. Xin Song, Professor, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Open Day in the Mountains

Plan to stay and enjoy all that Banff has to offer. Take in the view with a ride in the gondola, book a tee time, bring your swim suit and enjoy the natural hot springs. Banff also has unique shopping, museums, restaurants and walking, hiking and biking trails.

Occasionally, wildlife have been spotted in and around the town of Banff. Always keep a safe distance away, and never feed the wildlife.

Early Bird rate - Delegates - $495 (includes all meals May 30-31). Register early as space is limited. After February 28, 2017 - $600 (includes all meals on May 30-31).

Presenter's receive a significantly reduced rate of $295 for 2 days, plus the Speakers' Dinner on May 29 (includes all meals - May 29-31).

Student rate - $150 for both days; $75 for 1 day (includes meals)

We recommend you book your hotel room at The Banff Centre and mention the I2T2 Symposium to benefit from the group rate of $160/ night -single/double plus applicable taxes and fees. Space is limited.

Call for Abstracts

Submit your abstract(s), of no more than 350 words, for consideration for possible presentation at the upcoming I2T2 Symposium. Possible categories include, but are not limited to: Technology Research; Engineering Design; Project Management; Lessons Learned; Project Summaries; In-Situ Recovery; In-Situ Combustion; In-Situ Thermal Remediation; Chemical, Business, Legal, Mathematics, and Process Physics.

Submit to: All submissions will be reviewed by the Technical Committee.
